	We hope that you will find our new site informative and easy to use. We are pleased to announce that our online bill payment service is finally ready to use. We have also added some additional features and tools. As you use these features, please provide us with feedback so that we can continue to improve our site.

	Security Warning: Prattville Water Works Board never sends out unsolicited email messages. If you receive a message claiming to have been sent from our servers or staff be aware that it is a hoax. Usually these messages will have a virus attached. Should you receive one of these emails, please forward a copy to webmaster@prattvillewaterworks.com with subject "ABUSE" and then delete the message. The Prattville Fire Department will begin flowing fire hydrants during the month of October. Some customers may notice some discoloration in their water during these tests. Some of our customers may have noticed PWWB employees walking around with some strange gadgets recently. In order to enhance our service capabilities, we are implementing a Geographical Information System (GIS). The bright yellow handheld that you see is actually a GPS (Global Positioning System) device that allows us to record geographically correct locations of our distribution equipment for mapping purposes. We can now receive your payments through VISA and MasterCard by phone or in the office. You can also pay your bill online using our WebPay service. Our WebPay service is provided by Verisign, an industry leader in secure payment processing. In an effort to improve our service capabilities we have begun installing radio-read meters in some areas. Some customers may have their meters replaced with the new meters as a result of this process.


	The 2005 Consumer Confidence Report is now available. Customers of our water system with active accounts should receive this report via postal mail. We have posted an online version here for your convenience as well. To view this file you must have Adobe Acrobat Reader.


	We would like to remind our customers that anytime you need to dig near a road or easement, please contact us first. We will locate any water lines or equipment for you free of charge. Click here to submit a line locate request online or use the "Contact Us" link to submit a request via phone. We do not participate in Alabama One Call. If you submit a locate request to Alabama One Call, you still need to contact us for location of water related equipment.
